Before you head out: Weather and outfit suggestions are general guidance. Use your judgment, follow official advisories, and manage paid subscriptions through your Apple Account.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to the WearCast website and the weather, wardrobe, and outfit features provided by JTR Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read them before using the service. You must be legally able to agree to the terms applicable to your use or have a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision where required.
The app is licensed through the App Store under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These service terms supplement that agreement; they do not replace it or override Apple’s applicable purchase terms. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply.
2. What WearCast provides
WearCast combines forecasts from Apple Weather with clothing recommendations based on conditions, your preferences, and available closet information. Free features include core forecasts, daily outfit guidance, saved cities, a basic closet, and optional reminders. Plus adds individual garments, outfit alternatives and swaps, a weekly planner, and wear/laundry tracking.
Supported features depend on your device, operating system, location, network access, service availability, and app version. The app requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. The website’s screenshots illustrate captured app states and do not show live conditions. WearCast is being prepared for App Store release; this website does not accept purchases or provide app downloads before launch.
3. Forecasts, outfits, and your safety
Forecasts are predictions and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Conditions can change between checking the app and heading outside. An outfit suggestion reflects general comfort guidance and the information you entered; it cannot guarantee warmth, dryness, safety, fit, or suitability for every person or activity.
Use your own judgment, check current local conditions, and follow official weather and emergency advisories. WearCast is not a medical service, protective-equipment assessment, or emergency warning system. It should not be your sole source when planning hazardous outdoor activities or making safety-critical decisions.
Future outfit plans are saved plans, not a guarantee of future conditions. Recheck the forecast and your clothing’s actual condition before use. Laundry status, garment availability, and wear history depend on what you record.
4. Notifications, widgets, and offline use
Optional notifications require permission and rely on recent app use. Reminders are scheduled from the latest loaded forecast for the next 24 hours, using the selected city’s time zone. They may be delayed or suppressed by device settings, and they are not continuously refreshed emergency alerts. Widgets and cached forecasts may be older than current conditions.
You are responsible for managing location and notification permissions. Losing connectivity may limit forecasts and other services. Do not assume an absent reminder means no rain, snow, temperature change, or weather hazard.
5. Live Activities
An outing Live Activity displays a forecast snapshot and general clothing guidance on supported system surfaces. You choose when to start it. Weather updates require the app to refresh; older information is marked for refresh. The planned end time does not guarantee exact background removal while the app is suspended. Use End or dismiss the activity when finished. Live Activities are not emergency alerts, and their visibility depends on system permissions and device capabilities.
6. WearCast Plus subscriptions
Plans and pricing
Planned U.S. prices are $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year, billed annually. Both plans provide the same Plus features. Local currency, taxes, availability, and the amount payable are shown by Apple before confirmation; the purchase sheet controls if it differs from this website. No free trial is currently advertised.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and charged to your Apple Account. They renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal charges may occur within the 24 hours before the period ends. Any future price changes will follow Apple’s notice and consent requirements and applicable law.
Manage, cancel, and restore
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions to manage WearCast Plus. See Apple’s cancellation instructions. Canceling prevents future renewal and ordinarily leaves access available through the paid period. Deleting the app, deleting local data, or ceasing use does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore Purchases in WearCast with the Apple Account used to subscribe if access needs to be restored.
Refunds and ending access
Apple handles refund requests through Report a Problem, subject to Apple’s process and your statutory rights. A refund or revoked transaction can end paid access. Once Plus expires, core free features remain available. Existing Plus garments, plans, and history remain viewable, exportable, and deletable; creating or editing Plus content requires active access. Export includes record details, not photo files.
7. Your closet, photos, and data
You retain rights in the photos and other content you enter. Only add material you have the right to use. You allow the app to process and display that content locally to provide the features you request. This permission does not give us ownership of your wardrobe photos or permission to publish them or use them for advertising.
Your device stores the wardrobe, plans, and history. WearCast does not provide developer-operated cloud synchronization or a recovery service. Manage your backups and exports if you need to preserve records. We cannot restore information we do not hold. Device backup behavior is controlled by your Apple or computer settings.
The Privacy Policy explains data handling, service providers, and deletion controls. Sending a support message or choosing to share an export may disclose its contents to the recipient you select.
8. Responsible use and intellectual property
You may use WearCast for your personal weather and wardrobe planning, subject to the app license and applicable law. Do not misuse the website, try to bypass subscription controls, interfere with security or service availability, introduce malicious software, or infringe other people’s rights. Nothing here limits activities that the law or an applicable open-source license expressly permits.
The WearCast name, Puff character, original interface, software, and website materials belong to JTR Labs LLC or their respective owners. These terms do not grant ownership of those materials. Apple and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. Weather attribution and sources are identified in the app.
9. Apple and other third-party services
Apple provides weather, location and mapping services, App Store distribution, and payment services under its own terms and policies. Links to external websites are provided for convenience and do not mean we control those sites. Their availability, data handling, and content can change independently of WearCast.
JTR Labs LLC provides WearCast’s own features and support. Apple is not responsible for our independent support obligations beyond those described in the applicable App Store agreements and law. Any app-license provisions regarding Apple, maintenance, warranties, third-party claims, or enforcement remain governed by the Standard EULA and mandatory law.
10. Updates, availability, and ending use
We may improve or change features, correct errors, and release updates. We may suspend a feature to resolve security problems, comply with law, or address an unavailable third-party service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or continued support for every device or operating system.
Material changes affecting a paid subscription will be handled consistently with the applicable subscription terms and consumer law, including notice or remedies when required. If we discontinue the service, we will provide notice where reasonably practicable. You may stop using WearCast at any time; separately cancel any active subscription to prevent renewal. App-license termination is governed by the applicable EULA.
11. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the website and general service information are provided as available, without a promise that every forecast, recommendation, or feature will be uninterrupted or error-free. The app’s warranty and liability provisions are set out in the applicable Standard EULA.
For the website and services covered by these additional terms, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, to the extent such a limitation is lawful. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by negligence where protected by law. Nothing removes a consumer’s mandatory rights, remedies, or statutory guarantees. Where these terms conflict with those protections, the protections prevail.
12. Questions, disputes, and applicable rights
Please contact JTR Labs LLC about a problem so we can try to resolve it. You retain any right to contact a consumer protection authority, bring a claim in a competent court, or use a mandatory dispute-resolution process. These additional service terms do not create a compulsory arbitration clause or class-action waiver.
The app license’s governing-law provisions remain in the Standard EULA. These additional terms do not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts in their home jurisdiction where applicable law provides them. If one provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
13. Changes to these terms
We will publish updates here with a revised date. Material changes will receive additional notice where appropriate or legally required. Changes will apply prospectively; they will not retroactively remove rights relating to an existing dispute. Where acceptance is required, we will request it rather than treating publication alone as agreement.
