wearcastWearCast is coming to the App Store. These guides describe the app being prepared for launch.
Getting started
Choose a city or allow location, set your comfort preferences, and add clothing quantities to your closet. You can start without photos or a subscription. Search and save additional cities from Manage locations in Settings.
Forecast or location issues
Check your internet connection and reopen WearCast to refresh. If current-location access is off, choose a saved city or search for one. Search with both city and state when names are similar. Forecast and reminder times follow the selected city’s time zone.
Purchases and Plus
Use Restore Purchases in WearCast with the Apple Account that purchased Plus. Manage renewal or cancellation in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. For billing and refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Photos and stored data
Closet photos are optional and imported through the system picker. To start over, use Delete personalization data or Delete all local data in WearCast Settings. Review the privacy controls for what each action removes. Existing device backups are managed separately.
Reminders
Enable the reminder type in WearCast and allow notifications in iOS Settings. Open the app to load a recent forecast. Rain, snow, and other reminders are scheduled for the next 24 hours and may be affected by Focus modes and notification settings. WearCast is not an emergency alert service.
Live Activities and Dynamic Island
From Today or “I’m going out,” choose Start Live Activity when you are ready to leave. If Live Activities are disabled, open iOS Settings for WearCast to allow them. The forecast refreshes when the app does; older data shows a refresh prompt. Tap the activity to return to your outing, or use End to remove it.
Switching the selected city or deleting all local data also ends the outing. Dynamic Island requires a supported device. You can still use the app’s normal forecast and outfit features if Live Activities are unavailable.

When you email us, include your device model, iOS version, WearCast version, and a short description of the issue. Avoid sending personal closet photos unless they are necessary to explain the problem.
