Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

The short version: Waiting On does not collect your data. Your cases live on your device and, if you choose, sync through your own private iCloud account that we cannot access. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.

1. Who we are

Waiting On ("the app", "we", "us", or "our") is a follow-up tracking app published by JTR Labs LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Waiting On iOS app and this website.

2. Information the app handles

Waiting On is a personal tracker. You create "cases" describing things you're waiting on, which may include details you choose to enter, such as:

  • Case titles, notes, and the organization or person you're waiting on;
  • Optional contact details you add (name, phone, email, website, reference numbers);
  • Dates, statuses, reminders, and a timeline of updates you log.

This information is stored locally on your device. It is yours. We have designed the app so that this content is not transmitted to us.

3. What we collect (nothing)

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data. Specifically, Waiting On:

  • Has no user accounts and no login;
  • Contains no advertising and no advertising identifiers;
  • Includes no third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or marketing tools;
  • Does not send your case content to our servers — we do not operate servers that receive your case data;
  • Does not track you across apps or websites.

This is reflected in our App Store privacy label, which is marked "Data Not Collected."

4. Apple features the app uses

To provide its functionality, the app uses features built into your Apple device. These are processed by Apple and/or stay on your device — not sent to us:

  • iCloud sync (CloudKit). If you enable iCloud sync, your cases are stored in the private database of your personal iCloud account so they stay in sync across your devices. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to it.
  • Apple Intelligence (on-device). Optional follow-up drafts are generated on your device using Apple's on-device models. Your case details are used locally to write a draft and are not sent to us or to third parties for this purpose.
  • Reminders & Calendar (EventKit). If you add a follow-up to Apple Reminders or Calendar, the app writes that item to your chosen list/calendar with your permission. It stays within Apple's apps and your iCloud.
  • Mail & Messages (MessageUI). When you send a follow-up, the app opens the standard system composer pre-filled with your draft. You choose whether and when to send. We are not a party to the message.
  • Contacts. If you choose to attach a contact to a case, the details you select are stored within your case on your device.
  • Notifications. Reminders are delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device.
  • Siri, Shortcuts & Spotlight (App Intents). To support voice and search shortcuts, the app may make case titles searchable on your device and donate shortcuts to the system. This indexing remains on-device.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

Waiting On Premium is sold as an in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized sales and subscription reports that do not identify you. Your purchase history is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Storage, retention & deletion

Because your data stays on your device (and in your own iCloud, if enabled), you control it:

  • Delete an individual case at any time within the app.
  • Use the in-app "Delete all data" option to remove your cases.
  • Deleting the app removes its on-device data. To remove iCloud copies, delete the app's data from iCloud in your device settings.
  • We do not retain your case data because we never receive it.

7. Children's privacy

Waiting On is rated 4+ and is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no data, the app does not gather information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Because Waiting On does not collect your personal data, we generally hold no personal information about you to access, export, or delete on our side — your data remains under your control on your device and in your iCloud. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. If you have a request or question about your rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here, and where appropriate, in the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
