Privacy Policy

The short version: Tube Tails for iPhone collects no personal data. No account, no ads, no analytics and no online play. Your progress stays on your iPhone. The optional Summit Pass subscription is handled by Apple.

Who we are and what this covers

JTR Labs LLC, Utah, United States, makes Tube Tails. Contact [email protected] or +1 385-246-2577 with privacy questions. This notice covers Tube Tails for iPhone (the iOS app). Business mailing address: JTR Labs LLC, PO Box 172, Layton, UT 84041, United States.

The short version

Classic Tube Tails works offline. There is no developer account or sign-in, advertising, analytics or tracking SDK, chat or online multiplayer in the iPhone app. Optional Summit Pass purchases are processed by Apple. The app reads Apple-verified subscription status to unlock Summit Rush; it does not send your game progress or payment details to JTR Labs.

What stays on your device

To remember your game, the app stores on your iPhone: coins, best scores and longest rides per place, earned rider unlocks, your selected rider, place and tube style, sound, music and steering settings, your soundtrack choice and music volume, and any rider nicknames you enter. The app also caches its music and sound effects, which it creates on your device from code.

This information stays in the app's storage on your device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it. Like other app data, it may be included in your iPhone backups (for example iCloud Backup) according to your own Apple backup settings; we have no access to those backups.

Nicknames are private labels on your device. Please don't use a real name or contact details as a nickname.

Motion sensor

If you switch steering to Tilt, the app reads your iPhone's motion sensor while a ride is in progress, to steer your tube. Readings are used instantly on the device and are not stored or sent anywhere. The sensor is off when you steer by dragging, when the game is paused and when the app is in the background.

Apple and the App Store

Apple handles downloads, updates and payments through the App Store under Apple's own privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may give us aggregated usage statistics and crash reports that do not identify you. You control this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements. Summit Pass uses Apple StoreKit to load product prices, purchase, restore and check subscription access, including renewals, expiration and refunds. Apple handles billing information under its own privacy policy. The app keeps current access status in memory and uses Apple-managed transaction records; JTR Labs does not receive your card details.

Children and families

The iPhone app does not include advertising, chat or developer accounts. Summit Pass is an optional paid subscription through Apple. Parents can manage purchase permissions, including Ask to Buy and Screen Time purchase restrictions, through Apple. Pending purchases do not unlock Summit Rush until approved. Contact [email protected] with questions.

Other editions

The Android edition of Tube Tails offers optional online services for adults that the iOS app does not include. Those services have their own privacy notice. Nothing in the iOS app connects to them.

Contacting support

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you choose to write. We use it only to reply and help you, keep it only as long as needed for that and for records the law requires, and then delete it. Please share only what we need to help.

Your choices and rights

You can change sound, music, steering and nickname choices in the app at any time, and delete all game data by deleting the app. Because we do not collect personal data through the app, we usually hold nothing about you to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have privacy rights under local law; contact [email protected] and we will respond as that law requires.

Changes to this notice

If the app's handling of data changes, for example if a future version adds an optional online feature, we will update this notice and its date before that version is released, and describe the change in the app.
