Your research belongs to you.

This policy explains how ThesisTrack handles information. The short version: no advertising, no tracking, no mandatory account, and no JTR Labs backend collecting your thesis.

Information ThesisTrack processes

ThesisTrack processes information you choose to enter or attach, including project plans, titles, sections, tasks, deadlines, word-count observations, work sessions, research sources, notes, quotes, tags, advisor feedback, meeting notes, ideas, document links, attachments, drawings, defense preparation, checklists, and app settings.

This information is used only to provide features inside ThesisTrack, such as planning, recommendations, progress calculations, reminders, exports, widgets, and backups.

Storage and iCloud

ThesisTrack is designed to work locally on your device. When iCloud functionality is available through your Apple Account, Apple may synchronize supported app data through your private iCloud database. JTR Labs does not operate a separate account system or thesis-data server and does not receive the contents of your private iCloud database.

Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy. External document access permissions and some device state remain local to each device.

Permissions and Apple integrations

You can deny or later change system permissions in iOS Settings. Core project planning remains available without granting optional permissions.

What JTR Labs does not do

Exports, backups, and linked services

When you export or share information, the resulting file or item is handled by the destination you choose. You control exported backups and are responsible for storing them securely. Links you open and third-party apps or services you choose are governed by their own privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

Your ThesisTrack information remains on your device and, where applicable, in your private iCloud storage until you delete it. You can delete individual records or projects inside the app. Removing the app deletes its local container, subject to iOS behavior; synced data or backups may remain in iCloud or locations you selected until you remove them there.

Children’s privacy

ThesisTrack is intended for higher-education and research planning and is not directed to children under 13. JTR Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through ThesisTrack.

Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy as ThesisTrack evolves or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
