Privacy Policy

1. The jtrlabs.com website

This website is a static, informational page about our company and our apps. We do not:

• Use analytics, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting
• Set cookies (other than any strictly necessary for the page to load)
• Run advertising or share data with ad networks
• Sell, rent, or transfer any visitor data

Standard server logs are kept temporarily by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for the purpose of operating the site and protecting it from abuse, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy documentation.

2. Privacy for our apps

Each app we publish has its own privacy policy that covers what data (if any) that app collects, how it's used, what third-party services it relies on, and how users can exercise their rights.

2a. Rice Pop Study Timer — app-specific notes

Rice Pop is a focus / study timer for iOS. It does not require an account and works entirely on-device, with one exception described below.

Data stored on your device

The app stores your timer settings, session history, and study stats in your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to JTR Labs.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Rice Pop is supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the following to serve and measure ads:

• The device advertising identifier (IDFA), if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission
• Approximate (coarse) location, derived from IP address
• Standard ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• Diagnostic data (crash logs, performance metrics)

You can decline tracking from the iOS prompt shown the first time the app opens, and you can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining still lets you use every feature of the app.

Google's own privacy policy for AdMob services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

What Rice Pop does NOT do

• It does not create an account or collect your name, email, or contacts
• It does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, or precise location
• It does not transmit your study sessions, notes, or stats off-device
• It does not sell or share any user data with parties other than the AdMob service described above

Children

Rice Pop is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact [email protected].

3. How we approach data, in general

The principles that guide every product we ship:

• Collect as little as possible. Most of our apps work entirely on-device and require no account.
• Be transparent. Every app discloses its data practices in its App Store listing and in its own privacy policy.
• No behavioral analytics. We don't embed analytics SDKs that profile your activity across sessions.
• Ads, when present, are disclosed honestly. Several of our apps and sites are supported by Google AdMob or Google AdSense advertising. These services may collect your device's advertising identifier and IP address to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's privacy settings (iOS) or Google Ad Settings. See each app's privacy policy for specifics.
• No selling of user data — ever. We don't sell, rent, or trade personal data to anyone.
• Children's privacy. Apps directed at children are designed to comply with COPPA. Children-directed apps disable behavioral advertising and limit data collection to what is strictly necessary.

4. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe), the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA (California), and other state or national privacy laws. These rights can include:

• Knowing what personal information we hold about you
• Requesting a copy of that information
• Requesting correction or deletion
• Objecting to or restricting certain processing
• Withdrawing consent where we rely on it

For data held inside a specific app, you may also contact the support address listed in that app's privacy policy.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we do handle. All traffic to jtrlabs.com is served over HTTPS. Where any app does store data on our infrastructure (for example, BitKids), that data is transmitted over TLS and protected as described in that app's own privacy policy. No method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in a clearly visible way on this page. Your continued use of jtrlabs.com or our apps after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
