Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PawPrints ("PawPrints", the "App") handles information. PawPrints is provided by JTR Labs LLC ("JTR Labs", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Our privacy promise

PawPrints was designed so your dog's life story belongs entirely to you. The App is built to work without accounts, servers, advertising, or tracking. We believe a memory keeper should be a private, trusted place — not a product that monetizes your data.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect personal data from the App. PawPrints does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use it. We do not operate analytics, advertising, or tracking systems that gather information about you or your device.

The content you create — your dog's name, dates, photos, videos, journal entries, milestones, health notes, locations you choose to add, and similar information (your "Content") — is created and stored by you, on your device, for your own use.

3. Information stored on your device

Your Content is saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. It remains under your control. We have no ability to see, access, or retrieve your Content from our side, because it is never transmitted to us.

4. iCloud sync (optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your Content may be synchronized across your own Apple devices through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. In that case:

• The data is stored in your iCloud account, managed by Apple.
• We cannot access the contents of your iCloud data.
• Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

iCloud sync is optional and controlled by your device's iCloud settings.

5. Photos & camera

PawPrints can add photos to your memories from your photo library or by taking a new photo with the camera, only when you choose to. Images you add are stored with your Content on your device. PawPrints does not upload your photos to us or to any third party. You can manage photo and camera permissions at any time in your device's Settings.

6. Notifications

If you opt in to reminders, PawPrints schedules local notifications on your device (for example, "one year ago today" anniversaries and birthdays). These reminders are generated and stored on your device. We do not run a push-notification server and do not receive information about your reminders.

7. Purchases & subscriptions

PawPrints offers an optional premium subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple may share limited, aggregated transaction information with us (such as the fact that a purchase or refund occurred) as part of normal App Store reporting; this does not identify you personally to us. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Sharing & exporting

When you choose to share or export a page, photo, or PDF, your device's system share sheet sends it to the destination you select — for example a printing app, a design app, Messages, or Mail. That action is initiated by you, and the receiving app or service then handles the content under its own terms and privacy policy. PawPrints does not control those third parties.

9. Third-party services

PawPrints does not embed third-party advertising networks, analytics tools, or tracking SDKs. The only third party inherently involved is Apple, which provides the operating system, optional iCloud storage, and App Store purchasing.

10. Children's privacy

PawPrints is intended for a general audience and is rated 4+. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that concerns you, please contact us and we will help — though, by design, such information is stored only on the device and not transmitted to us.

11. Your choices & control

• Export everything: You can export your Content (including images and PDFs of your pages) at any time using the App's share and export tools.
• Delete everything: You can delete individual items in the App, or remove all PawPrints data by deleting the App from your device. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove the data through your iCloud settings.
• Permissions: You can grant or revoke photo, camera, and notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.

12. Data security

Because your Content stays on your device (and, if enabled, in your iCloud account), its security is protected by your device's and Apple's safeguards, such as device passcodes, encryption, and your Apple ID protections. We encourage you to use a device passcode and keep your software up to date. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data local-first meaningfully reduces exposure.

13. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA & similar laws)

Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give people rights over personal data that a business collects about them. Because PawPrints does not collect, sell, or share your personal data, there is generally no personal data held by us to access, correct, port, or delete. You nonetheless retain full control of your Content directly in the App, as described above. If you have questions about your rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond in good faith.

14. International users

PawPrints processes your Content on your own device wherever you are located. If you use optional iCloud sync, Apple may store and process that data in accordance with its own policies and infrastructure. By using the App, you understand that your Content is handled as described in this Policy.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
