YOUR ROUTINE. YOUR BUSINESS.
Privacy policy
How information is handled in Staple, on this website, and when you contact JTR Labs LLC.
Effective October 9, 2026
The current Staple app stores your meal-planning information on your device. It has no Staple account, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Visiting this website or sending us email involves different information, explained below.
1. Who we are and what this covers
JTR Labs LLC provides Staple and the Staple pages at jtrlabs.com/staple. This policy covers the current app, this product website, and support correspondence. Other JTR Labs products have their own policies.
2. Information in the app
Your goals, protein target, dietary preferences, staple foods, saved meals, week plans, grocery checkmarks, meal check-ins, and any weight you choose to record are stored locally. A shared on-device container lets Staple’s widgets display relevant information. These records are not sent to JTR Labs.
The current release does not include active iCloud sync, Apple Health integration, advertising, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. Core meal planning works offline. Device backups and diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are controlled by your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.
3. Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes Pro purchases, renewals, and refunds. Staple uses Apple’s StoreKit services to check purchase status and unlock Pro. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple may provide developers with sales, subscription, and diagnostic reporting under its own services and your settings; this is separate from your locally stored meal plans.
See Apple’s privacy policy for information about Apple services.
4. Reminders and sharing
If you allow notifications, the app schedules its reminders locally. You can change notification permissions in iPhone Settings. If you choose to share a grocery list or other content, it goes to the people or service you select. Their handling of that information is outside Staple’s control.
5. This website
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. When you visit, the hosting service processes technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time to serve and protect the site. This is different from information stored inside the Staple app.
These Staple pages do not set advertising cookies, contain advertising pixels, or ask you to create an account. The example meal-plan controls run in your browser and do not send your selections to us. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of service data.
6. Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the message or attachments you send. We use them to answer you, investigate the issue, and keep necessary support records. Our email provider processes this correspondence to deliver and store it. Please avoid sending sensitive health details or unrelated personal information.
We retain correspondence only as needed for support, legitimate recordkeeping, and legal obligations. Hosting providers retain technical records under their service policies. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
7. Your choices and deletion
You can edit the records you enter in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data; shared widget storage and backups may be governed by iOS and your backup settings. Offloading the app is different from deleting it and can preserve data. We cannot retrieve meal plans we do not receive.
For information you send us directly, you can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including a right to complain to your local privacy authority. We may need to verify a request and retain records required by law.
Deleting the app does not cancel a Pro subscription. Manage subscriptions separately through your Apple Account.
8. Children
Staple is not designed to collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support or this website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this policy before introducing features that materially change these practices. The effective date will identify the latest version. Material app changes will also be described through an appropriate in-app notice or release notes.
