1. What NailGuard provides

NailGuard is an informational wellness tool for capturing, organizing, comparing, and reflecting on nail appearance photos. Its AI feature compares a usable photo with a limited set of supported visible patterns. Results are estimates, can be unsupported, incomplete, or wrong, and do not determine the cause of an appearance.

NailGuard is not a substitute for professional judgment. You are responsible for how you use the information and for seeking appropriate help when you have a concern.

2. NailGuard Plus subscription

NailGuard Plus is offered as a one-month or one-year auto-renewable subscription. It includes up to 20 cloud AI analysis requests during each monthly allowance period. The free app includes two lifetime cloud AI requests and continued access to the local journal, trackers, check-ins, and care library.

Your localized price and subscription period are displayed in the app before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or App Store subscription settings. Deleting NailGuard does not cancel a subscription.

Purchases can be restored from the NailGuard Plus screen. Allowances do not roll over, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred. A request that the service rejects before model processing—for example, an invalid entitlement, exceeded allowance, or unusable request—does not consume a request. Once cloud model processing begins, the request counts even if the provider is unavailable or no usable estimate is returned. Apple controls billing, refunds, and subscription status.

3. Cloud model processing

Each AI estimate requires your confirmation for the selected photo. You authorize JTR Labs and its model and infrastructure providers to process the prepared copy to provide, secure, and account for that requested feature. Cloud analysis is separate from optional model-development contribution. Availability, response time, supported inputs, and output quality are not guaranteed.

4. Optional photo contributions

Contribution is optional, unpaid, and not required for core app features. Nothing uploads to the contribution library automatically. If you explicitly contribute a photo, you confirm that you are at least 18, own the photo or have permission to share it, and that it does not intentionally show another person or identifying details.

You grant JTR Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, review, reproduce, modify, annotate, and use the contributed copy to develop, train, test, validate, improve, and commercialize NailGuard models and related safety systems. You retain ownership of your original photo. You can request deletion of a retained contribution as explained in the Privacy Policy, but deletion cannot necessarily undo completed training or previously created or released model versions.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to bypass subscription or usage controls, interfere with its operation, automate abusive request volumes, reverse engineer protected service components except where law permits, or submit content you do not have the right to use. JTR Labs may limit or suspend access needed to protect users, the service, or provider systems.

6. Ownership

JTR Labs owns NailGuard, its design, software, branding, and service-generated materials, except for content you own and third-party materials governed by their own licenses. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the app in accordance with Apple's rules and these terms.

7. Availability and changes

Features and supported AI patterns may change as NailGuard is improved. JTR Labs may modify, suspend, or discontinue a feature when reasonably needed, subject to applicable law and Apple's subscription requirements. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by updating the date above.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NailGuard is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. JTR Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those exclusions apply only to the extent allowed.

9. Apple terms and contact

Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms, the mandatory Apple terms control.
