What is NailGuard AI?+
NailGuard AI is a private nail wellness companion for capturing photos, noticing visible patterns, organizing check-ins, and learning everyday care habits.
Where are my photos processed?+
Your journal stays on your device. For an AI estimate, you confirm each selected photo before a re-encoded copy is sent through JTR Labs to Meta Model API. Optional model-development contribution is a separate choice.
How often should I check in?+
Consistency matters more than frequency. Weekly or biweekly photos taken in similar lighting can make visual comparisons easier and more useful.
Can I track more than one nail?+
Yes. You can create an organized history for the nails you want to follow and review their progress independently.
Are AI results definitive?+
No. NailGuard AI results are estimates of visible appearance. They may be incomplete or wrong and do not confirm, rule out, or determine the cause of any condition.
Does opting in upload my whole journal?+
No. Opting in only enables the contribution control. Nothing uploads automatically, and each photo requires a separate confirmation. Journal notes, check-ins, and tracker names are not attached.
Can I stop or delete a contribution?+
Yes. You can stop future contributions at any time and request deletion of retained photos from the app. Deletion cannot necessarily undo model training already completed or model versions already released.
