These answers reflect the current product—not planned cloud ingest or a NotebookLM clone.
A PDF will not import
Confirm the file is a real PDF, no larger than 200 MB or 2,000 pages, not empty, not password-protected, and does not prohibit copying. Vesper will not bypass document protection through OCR.
Processing was interrupted
Reopen the course and resume or retry the document. Vesper stores page-level checkpoints so completed work can continue after cancellation, interruption, or relaunch.
The scan or slide photo has missing text
OCR quality depends on resolution, rotation, contrast, typography, and layout. Inspect the original page and reprocess a clearer source when possible. Page-aware answers still require exact canonical text evidence.
Lecture audio will not transcribe
Grant microphone and speech-recognition permission if you are recording. Transcription runs on device and can take time on a long file. Deleting the source removes the audio and the transcript.
No new quiz can be generated
Check Apple Intelligence availability, supported language, and free-tier limits. The source may also lack enough direct evidence. Existing material, extractive studio, and deterministic review remain available.
A source link has no highlight
Vesper shows a highlight only when exact PDF selection mapping succeeds. It can still open the cited physical page so you can inspect the source.
A generated question seems wrong
Open the cited page and compare the supporting quote. Grounding reduces unsupported output but does not guarantee correctness. Do not rely on a disputed answer for an assessment.
Pro access is missing
Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Verify the subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Restoring entitlement cannot restore locally deleted documents.
I want to remove my data
Use document, course, or complete-data deletion in the App. Earlier copies may remain in Apple system backups. Canceling a subscription is a separate action.
