Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

The short version: The App stores your sessions and preferences locally on your device — we never receive them. To stay free, it shows an occasional interstitial ad after a completed focus session, delivered by Google AdMob. That ad framework does collect device-level data described below. You can decline tracking when iOS asks, and the App still works the same.

1. Who we are

Air Fryer Visual Study Timer (the "App") is published by JTR Labs LLC ("JTR Labs," "we," "us," "our"). You can reach us at [email protected] or via jtrlabs.com. This policy describes how the App handles information.

2. What JTR Labs does not collect

JTR Labs itself does not operate any servers that store information about you. We never receive:

Separately, the App embeds Google AdMob to display ads — see Section 5 for what AdMob collects on Google's side. Apple also offers you a system-level "Ask App Not to Track" prompt that limits what AdMob can see.

3. Information processed on your device

The App stores the following on your device only — never on our servers, because we don't operate any:

All of this can be wiped at any time from Settings → Data → Reset All Data. Deleting the App removes this data entirely; iOS does not preserve it.

4. Permissions the App may request

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is supported by an occasional interstitial ad shown after you complete a focus session. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob is a separate service operated by Google; their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

When an ad is shown, AdMob may receive or use the following from your device:

If you select "Ask App Not to Track" in the iOS prompt, AdMob serves non-personalized ads — they still see the device-level and ad-interaction data above, but they don't get the IDFA and they don't build a profile of your interests for use in this app.

You can change your decision later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and you can manage ad personalization across all apps in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

We do not embed Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook SDK, or any other tracking SDK. AdMob is the only third-party SDK in the App.

6. Audio

All ambient sounds (white noise, rain, coffee shop, brown noise, fireplace) and all sound effects (sizzle, ding, basket slide) are generated in real time on your device. No audio files are downloaded from us, and the microphone is never accessed.

7. Purchases

If the App is sold for a one-time price, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. JTR Labs receives an anonymous record from Apple that we can use to deliver and support the App — we never see your payment method, billing address, or Apple ID password. Refunds are handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how they handle payment data.

The App currently contains no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

8. App Store review prompt

After several completed sessions, the App may show an in-app "Enjoying the app?" prompt. If you tap Yes, the App calls Apple's standard SKStoreReviewController, which is Apple's official rate-your-app mechanism. Apple's prompt is rate-limited by iOS itself and you can decline it at any time. JTR Labs does not see your rating or review.

9. Service providers

The third parties involved in the App are limited to:

We do not embed analytics SDKs, attribution SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or any other third-party tracking technology beyond the two above.

10. Children's privacy

The App is suitable for ages 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App is fully on-device, there is no data for us to receive from a child or any other user.

11. Your rights

Because the App processes no personal data on our systems, most data-subject rights (access, correction, portability, deletion) do not apply against JTR Labs in the traditional sense — there is nothing about you on our side to access or delete. You can exercise the equivalent on your own device:

If you live in a jurisdiction with stronger statutory rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and have questions, write to [email protected].

12. Not a medical device

The App is a focus and productivity tool. It is not a medical device and is not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. References to attention differences (including ADHD) on our website are observational — many people in those communities find visual timers useful — and are not medical claims.

13. Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, if the changes are significant, surface a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance.
